LEGION is on a mission to provide you with authentic, high-quality cannabis products that also support and sustain the planet. There has been a lot going on at the LEGION this year to ensure that their packaging is eco-friendly, their facilities are energy efficient, that their founders and employees get out to volunteer and give back to the community, and so much more! We’re going to share with you what else they have going on in 2020…
Our friends at LEGION of Bloom are on a mission to craft exceptional cannabis products that also give back to the planet. They have partnered with two organizations to support habitat restoration in a major way.
Committed to Protecting and Iconic Species
In a partnership with the California Association of Resource Conservation Districts (CARCD), LEGION has committed to donating a portion of the sales of their Monarch Cartridge line to habitat restoration projects for the Monarch Butterfly across California. With population numbers dwindling at an alarming rate, the Monarch is in dire straits. If we do not act now, we could lose this iconic species forever. LEGION is taking action to help preserve this threatened species.
Replanting Trees in Areas Ravaged By Wildfires
Working with One Tree Planted, LEGION has committed to donating a portion of their Strain Specific and California Sauce PAX Pods sales to reforestation projects across California. Our forests currently serve as a carbon “sink,” offsetting approximately 10 to 20 percent of U.S. fossil fuel emissions each year. They are invaluable for their carbon sequestration abilities, for mitigating the impacts of climate change, as well as their habitat value to so many species. Making sure that we have healthy forests is one of the best things we can do that has a lasting impact for the environment.
Preservation of the Monarch Butterfly with your LEGION Purchase
LEGION ensures your health and safety by partnering with solo Sciences but they have not stopped there…
Habitat restoration is essential for the survival of this beautiful and incredibly important species. According to the California Department of Fish and Wildlife, there has been a drastic and noticeable decrease in monarch butterfly populations due to habitat loss, changing agricultural practices, climate change, pesticide exposure, and invasive species. This rapid decline motivated the CARCD to take action. The CARCD is currently working to improve the management of coastal California wintering sites (which the monarch butterfly depends on heavily) as well as creating breeding and migratory habitat. Since our award-winning vape pen, The Monarch, was inspired by this butterfly, we too are motivated to protect this iconic species, and with your help, we can do just that.
