Juāna, a women-owned wellness atelier, announces the launch of its hand-poured, small batch apothecary candles, six individual candles focused on triggering specific effects including Arouse, Calm, Focus, Recover, Sleep and Uplift.
Juāna’s apothecary candles are created to compliment its line of cannabis products – the candle collection is designed to enhance the sensory experience of their signature collection, extending the atmosphere and depth of their brand through scent and ambiance.
Juāna blends the principles of apothecary, aromacology and modern neuroscience research creating a line of candles that enhance mood and nurture well-being. Each candle is packaged in porous cotton paper made with FSC certified 100% cotton, adapting a minimalist design to reduce excess use of foil, ink and waste, reflecting the brand’s commitment to sustainability and mindful consumption.
“We formulate our products with purpose,” said Rachel Xin, founder of Juāna. “Our candles are not just made for scent, but to help set the mood, trigger an emotional reaction, but not at the expense of nature. Juāna uses clean-burning coco-apricot wax (premium plant-based, vegan wax), high-integrity aroma molecules and avoids all synthetic dyes, phthalates, and parabens.”
The coco-apricot wax blend is a luxurious, clean-burning, and eco-conscious base made from coconut and apricot kernels. The wax holds fragrance, burns longer than soy, and produces minimal soot. It’s biodegradable and renewable. Juāna uses cotton-core wicks, free from lead or zinc. Cotton offers a steady, even burn, minimizing smoke or mushrooming, delivering a cleaner burn experience.
